Chez moi, nulle part ailleurs 

Chacun chez soi, on s’abrite. On y repose notre âme fendue, notre corps épuisé, et notre mémoire agitée en traversant les combats du monde extérieur. C’est avant tout un habitat, mais aussi une projection spatio-temporelle à la fois intime et commune. La notion de ‘chez-moi’ n’est pas seulement un espace, mais un lieu ou une chose liée à des sens plus complexes. Il est provisoirement constitué et démoli. C’est un espace-temps basé sur de petits souvenirs et des sentiments familiers. Le présent se construit ainsi avec des cadres spirituels.

C’est ainsi que j’ai commencé à concevoir l’œuvre « Time Village », dans la recherche d’un véritable chez-moi. Protocole d’installation tantôt permanente, tantôt éphémère, cette œuvre est composée de maisons sans particularité, habitées par des silhouettes anonymes. Le village est construit en papier, rempli de traits et tracé par le temps. Les traits deviennent ici le paysage de la ville où j’habite actuellement. Un paysage rempli de bâtiments usés et nouveaux, de personnes arrivantes et partantes, de chez-moi cherchés et abandonnés.

Home, nowhere else

Each in their own home, we shelter. We rest our split soul, our exhausted body, and our agitated memory as we traverse the battles of the outside world. It is above all a habitat, but also a spatio-temporal projection both intimate and common. The notion of 'home' is not just a space, but a place or thing linked to more complex senses. It is temporarily built and demolished. It is a space-time based on small memories and familiar feelings. The present is thus built with spiritual frameworks. 

 

Thus, I began to conceive the work "Time Village", in the search for a true home. An installation protocol, sometimes permanent, sometimes ephemeral, this work is composed of unremarkable houses inhabited by anonymous silhouettes. The village is built of paper, filled with lines and traced by time. The lines here become the landscape of the city where I currently live. A landscape filled with worn and new buildings, arriving and departing people, sought and abandoned homes.
